ETS'24 is organizing various activities for students engagement, which are an intrinsic part of ETS. Graduate students (MSc/PhD) in the fields of electronic-based circuits and system testing, reliability, safety, security and validation, have an excellent opportunity to engage with each other and with experts in these fields. The activities listed below allow for the participation and training of graduate students at different points of their academic development, enabling multi-year engangement of these students with the ETS community.
Test Summer School (TSS) is primarily for graduate students just starting their journey into the world of research related to one of more of the areas of interest of ETS. TSS offers an opportunity to get in touch with outstanding professors and state-of-the-art research topics. Yet, students with advanced backgrounds are also welcome to get updates and to exchange ideas during the three days of TSS. Seats are limited, and we apply the “first come, first served” policy. PhD Forum is aimed at PhD students who have preliminary research results. ETS offers them a unique opportunity to present and discuss their work in progress and to receive feedback from other students and recognized experts from the worldwide test and reliability community. The participation consists of a short talk and a poster. There is a chance to win the PhD Forum Award that will be announced at the closing session. Click here for more information.
McCluskey Thesis Contest is open for PhD students who defended their thesis after April 2022 or will defend before December 2024. This traditional competition offers an ample stage to present their research and theses, gain highly qualified feedback and – being a regional semi-final – the chance to advance to the award’s finals taking place during IEEE ITC 2024. Outstanding Student Presentation Award has been established to recognize students giving full-paper presentations at the regular sessions of ETS. It aims at promoting the quality of oral presentation and the excellence of communication skills. Click here for more information.
